How to create a new cuesheet from scratch? Note: When adding the first track pressing Add is not necessary. Note: The header is added automatically once you add the first track. Be default new tracks are added after the currently selected track. If you want your tracks to be added at the very end simply enable the 'Add new tracks at the end' option.
How to create a cue based on a tracklist? First you need to get hold of a tracklist and save it into a txt file. A 'proper' file that can be used with QeD should only contain the tracklist you want to import. So a file like this: Paul Oakenfold Live @ Buenos Aires, Argentina 25-04-1999 Part 1: 1. Brother Brown - Under The Water (Breeder Mix) 2. Karen Ramirez - Lies (Tilt's Trinity Mix) 3. Kamaya Painters - Endless Wave (Albion Mix) 4. Space Brothers - Legacy (Original Mix) 5. Orbital - Nothing Left (Way Out West Mix) 6. Underworld - Jumbo (Francois K & Rob Rives Mix) 7. Utah Saints - Love Song (12" Mix) 8. Mara - One (Hamel's Implant Mix) 9. Space Manoeuvres - Stage One (Tilt's Apollo 11 Mix) will not import like it should, but this one will: 1. Brother Brown - Under The Water (Breeder Mix) 2. Karen Ramirez - Lies (Tilt's Trinity Mix) 3. Kamaya Painters - Endless Wave (Albion Mix) 4. Space Brothers - Legacy (Original Mix) 5. Orbital - Nothing Left (Way Out West Mix) 6. Underworld - Jumbo (Francois K & Rob Rives Mix) 7. Utah Saints - Love Song (12" Mix) 8. Mara - One (Hamel's Implant Mix) 9. Space Manoeuvres - Stage One (Tilt's Apollo 11 Mix) If you don't want to save the tracklist as a file you can just copy it to clipboard and you can import from there. Once you have your tracklist ready you need to select a tracklist import format - read more about it. Now all you need to do is select 'Import | from file' or 'Import | from clipboard' from the File menu in order to create a cuesheet based on a tracklist from a file or from the clipboard respectively.
Why do I get an "Error at line XX" when importing?
I made some changes to a cue that I do not want. Can I undo any of them?
How to merge a tracklist with a cue? Note: Importing times from a tracklist is only available when the currently selected import format has minutes, seconds and (optionally) frames specified.
Why can't I set the frames value to more than 74?
Which cuesheet commands does QeD use/understand? • CATALOG Note: As QeD is a liveset editor it will read your cues as if they were created for an mp3 file. For example this cuesheet (created for an image of a Data CD): FILE "novellcd1.img" BINARY
TRACK 1 MODE1/2352
INDEX 1 00:00:00will be read as this: PERFORMER ""
TITLE ""
FILE "novellcd1.mp3" MP3
TRACK 01 AUDIO
PERFORMER ""

INDEX 01 00:00:00
If you would like to read the cuesheet specification it's available as an appendix to the CDRWin User's Guide.
Can I use QeD in order to create a cuesheet directly from an Audio CD?
I want to burn a 2 hour mix on 2CDs. How can I do that? OK let's get to it. As an example I chose a 2 hour mix by Armin. It has a nice commercial break fadeout in the middle, which will be useful when splitting the set. Here's how the cuesheet looks like: PERFORMER "Armin van Buuren"
TITLE "A State of Trance 181 (30-12-2004)"

The fadeout ends at 55:03:30, so "Jump The Next Train" will be the first track on CD2. Now you need to create a new cuesheet that only has two tracks - one that starts at the beginning of CD1 (00:00:00) and one that starts at the beginning of CD2 (55:03:30). It's going to look like this: PERFORMER "Armin van Buuren"
TITLE "A State of Trance 181 (30-12-2004)"
FILE "Armin van Buuren - A State of Trance 181 (30-12-2004).mp3" MP3
TRACK 01 AUDIO
PERFORMER ""
TITLE ""
INDEX 01 00:00:00

INDEX 01 55:03:30
Titles for these tracks are not required here. You don't need the full header as well - but the FILE "..." MP3 line has to be PROPER (it has got to point to the file you want to split). Now you need to split the 2 hour mp3 file with mp3DirectCut - this process is described here. Once you have your long mp3 split into two separate mp3s (CD1 and CD2), you need to create cuesheets for them. With QeD it just takes a few clicks. Go to "Edit | Split cue..." and type in the time where you want to split your cuesheet (55:03:30 in this case). Once you press 'Spit' QeD will generate the following file for CD1: PERFORMER "Armin van Buuren"
TITLE "A State of Trance 181 (30-12-2004)"
FILE "Armin van Buuren - A State of Trance 181 (30-12-2004).mp3" MP3

That's pretty much it - you have two mp3s and two cues to go with them. Now all you have to do is burn both of them on separate CDs and you're done (for info on how to burn a CD using a cuesheet read this).
I have a set that has more than 99 tracks - can I burn it on a single
Audio CD??
An error occurred or
QeD crashed. How can I let you know about it? If you manage to cause an error and there was no "QeD Error" window (the most noticeable results of such an error is when certain program features stop working) also post a message on the forum. When making a new post try and be REALLY precise on how you managed to get the particular error (what did you do) and what file caused it. This will help you get a solution faster as the error can be reproduced and that leads to finding a reason to what happened:) Note: If you select "Ignore this error" you won't be notified of the particular type of error, but a log file will be saved in the \logs directory anyway.
I really like QeD and I want to help out. What can I do? Anyway back to AllPay.pl - the site can be viewed in English, so you can read all the information about it (if you are interested of course). Any donations are welcome. I really appreciate everything you can send.
